Marketing
The Australian Cherry is a delight.
It looks good, tastes good and has received significant domestic and global attention for its distinctive appearance and taste.
CGA through its representative Marketing Committee continues to research, evaluate and explore measures to widely promote Australian cherries in the domestic and export marketplace.
Ongoing research into consumer preferences, habits and attitudes towards cherries in Australia feeds the development of marketing campaigns (led by CGA) to promote cherry consumption and the industry as a whole.
The current consumer campaign ‘Cherish the moment’ uses ambassador and teen sailing sensation Jessica Watson to celebrate 100 days of the cherry season and is supported with advertising, point-of-sale material and its own dedicated website.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about cherries being the ultimate summer fruit with the call to action for consumers to grab a bag of cherries and consequently help increase national consumption.
If you would like to find out more about national cherry marketing programs or to help promote the Australian Cherry through farm-gate promotion, events or networks please contact CGA.
